All accounts are numbered with no directly identifiable information to be had just by seeing accounts on a list. After you are assigned a number you can fill out your personal details that only approved contacts can see once they are accepted. This is very similar to something like WhatsAPP or old classics like ICQ.



Instant Messaging





Quick IM with file sharing! Group chats with the ability to create publicly available spaces to meet new friends! With SPOUT you are only as social as you want to be. SPOUT's messaging service is owned by us and exists as a closed network.



Calling





SPOUT owns it's own closed phone network. That number you were assigned when you signed up? That is the number people within the app can call you on. It's not a standard phone number so you will never be bothered by spam calls. The calling network is a traditional VOIP network, unlike most other application's media socket approach. The benefit is that users can purchase hardware phones that receive SPOUT calls!
